cold start problem

guys..need help, i have a 93 4afe corolla, hard starting when cold, need to step on gas for car to start during cold weather, has anyone experienced this also?parts changed were fuel filter , sparkplugs, distributor, relays, fuses.

Have you checked the choke?

On some of the older cars with carbs they used to have automatic choke units which would have a bi metal spring inside them

When the temp was cold the spring would contract putting the choke on.

As the engine warmed the spring would expand releasing the choke

Over the years the springs weaken or snap causing the choke to stay off and have cold start issues

This is where I would start my investigations
