Has any one changed their lights for either brighter headlight bulbs, or Led's?

Hi, it's the H11 I think.. but purchased those and their slightly different... prongs in the fitting aren't wide enough!  Also, two plastic purtrutions on the plastic housing... it does say, only use Halogen...

Have Toyota changed the bulb types in newer models? My T25 takes H7 dipped bulbs, not sure on the high beams, though. I got a couple of LED H7s to try from a friend, but got annoyed and frustrated trying to fit them, so I still haven't tried again.😬😤

Toyota have moved over to HIR2 bulbs in most models - these are already brighter (approx 70%) than standard halogen. The majority of aftermarket LED bulbs aren't E-marked, which is why some websites note that these are for styling only.

Upgrades - two common choices: Toyota Optiwhites or PIAA Hyper Arros. See -

https://www.amazon.co.uk/PIAA-Hyper-Arros-Headlight-Bulbs/dp/B07CLR2186/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Piaa+hir2+bulbs&qid=1573120704&sr=8-1

Note that there are differences in the brightness claims for these two bulbs. Toyota Optiwhites claim to be 60% brighter than standard HIR2 bulbs (which are already brighter than standard haogen), and PIAA claim to be 120% brighter than standard halogen. So in terms of brightness, they should be similar.
