yaris 2008 eco confusion

hi, i have a 2008 yaris with stop start technology, the button next to the hand brake has printed on it "eco off".. does that mean eco off, if the light is on, or eco off if the light is off. hope that makes sense , thanks simon.

The stop/start system is automatically 'on' when the engine is started. When the engine is running, one can temporarily turn it off, but it will reset to the 'on' position when the ignition is turned off.
