dunno if they are available for the Gen 5......

But if they are do you really want the same style lights as everyone else??

I think they are getting a bit too common now........

thats true.. but then the ones we have are a bit crappy.. could do with some funked up ones.. not seen any anywhere on the net. Actually, theres not much at all really in the way of styling and tuning for celica Gen 5.. no fair!!

anyone know of any good places for gen5 stuff??

How much, thats day light robbery.. And you only get the amber part clear... If you want your lights to look different why not buy some lense tint, much much cheaper...

TBH I prefer the ones already on my baby. But I would like some round ones like on the mr2.

now they would look sweet.

There was a post on here a few months ago, some guy had done his own rear lights. He carefully removed the outer plastic cover then stuck on a piece of plastic that he said came from a flourescent light (looked sort of ribbed semi opaque). The end product looked OK (to me). Done a quick search but can't find it.

Already have mine tinted with a toyota symbol on the brake lens, so when brake light is on,the toyota symbol shines alot brighter than the rest.

I have also seen the round supra lights fitted, but that required some fibreglassin to make fit, trying to find pic, and have also heard that late spec mr2 lights fit but not gunna pay for some then find out they dont fit. Could do with swappin with some1 at JAE to c if they do! <_<

i did that to my old St184 Hatch, don't have the lights anymore tho - i sold the car and gave the kid the lights too.

IMO - it looked like crap, although i did probably a better job that anyone else has done - i've got experience working w/ plastics because i was a plastic fabricator for a while. I heated up the material, bent it, yada-yada-yada.... but the final product - although it was cool to have clears or 'white-out's' - i wasn't impressed because the material used is def. not what should be used.

If someone is really interested - look into injection molded-plastics, and making a mold for it. That's def. the way to go, but it's gonna take a little work and patience.

But as for custom tail lights, there's a JDM company that offers ST18*'s taillights w/ the rear amber turn signal-section as clear. The rest of the light is red still - so they'd be legal(short of being D.O.T. certified). I can't remember the name of the company, but they're def out there - they even make pure clears for the S-15 Silvia - which look awesome!!!
