Music In Da House

Hi, a friend wants a car sub attached to a home hifi

the is giving out 350W RMS/Channel (thats what he told me) so there is no need to get an new amp

so I would need a minimum of 350W sub

but that will play both bass and music in one speaker and that could make it distorded

so I need a cross over, I think. which one would you recomend

or is there a better way to do this (theres about 300quid for the price limit)

dont even attempt to cross car audi with home audio

home Speakers run upto 16ohms on impeadance due to the increased supply of 240v. a home amp will destroy a car sub very easily. and probably fry the amp in time aswell.

ok, a few other people have does this, I just want to know how they did it

I could use the earphone socket > amp > sub

but that will disable the other Speakers on the hifi
