Loose Kick Panel

Hello,

I went to the dealership for an oil change and airbag recall. When I picked it up, they had not finished re-assembling the lower dash. The plastic panel above the floor mat was hanging down and blocking the pedals. They had one of the mechanics check it out, who fiddled around for a bit and shoved the panel up, which seems to have fixed it. But if I press above the brake pedal, there's not a lot of clearance and the top panel feels loose, so I'm not sure it was done correctly.

Do any of you know if there is a problem here? I've attached an image and video of the problem below. Thanks!

That's normal behaviour for that panel. Mine's never been moved or detached since new 2 years ago and does exactly the same thing (as in your video). It's the same panel that holds the TPMS reset switch and I've always thought it a bit rubbish the way it's made and mounted.

If it is not hanging down to cause an obstruction when  you use pedals then it should be ok. But just make sure it is tight and not fall down.

Thank you both! I have big feet, and normally hit the top panel sometimes, so I wasn't sure if this was intended or not
