Low oil pressure warning?

Hi all! Have a 2008 Rav4 2.2 diesel. When I start it from cold it goes through it’s diagnostic check and all’s fine. Then it comes up with a low pressure warning for about 2 seconds that then goes off. It then does not come on at all when driving. If you start from a warm engine it does not happen? Any chance ideas or experiences with this scenario?

Can you recreate it under heavy braking?

Obvious question; do you have low oil level?

Lower oil level combined with low temperatures and higher viscosity oil, take a while for the oil to get down when cold started, so you get a warning, just a guess..

As said above, have you checked the level and where is it on the dipstick?

Oil level fine. Does not come on again when driving or idling even when oil is hot?

Possibly the oil filter is partially blocked.  Cheap enough to put a new one on.

Going to change oil and filter and see if ok after that.
