RAV Blind Spot

Hi, we have a new RAV4 (2019) and the passenger side blind spot system seems to have a mind of its own, only detecting cars at random whereas the drivers side picks up every car.

Dealer says "must be right because another one does the same" 

Anyone else have similar issues?

Seems crazy that a safety feature works differently depending which side it is.

Cannot comment on the RAV4. But on my outgoing Mazda CX5 and a friends LR RR, The passenger Blind spot monitor only activates if a vehicle approaches you from the rear. if you pass a vehicle it doesn't activate. I think that is to stop false alerting.
