Toyota RAV4 Oil Light Maintenance Required

Hi 

My wife s Toyota RAV4 Oil Maintenance shows up when she starts the car up. She just got it serviced a few weeks ago. I checked the oil level on the dipstick and it appears fine to me. I read online that the oil maintenance light can come on after the car completes certain KMs to remind of oil change,  but it may not necessarily indicate a problem of itself if the oil has been changed recently. My question is if I do a manual reset of the oil Maintenance light will the car still prompt her if there is an actual oil issue?

I'm guessing the garage did not reset the counter, so the car thinks it's due for a service now.

Check your owners manual, there should be a procedure inside how to reset it.

Tha ks for the reply I know how to reset the oil maintenance light, but my question is if there is an actual problem will it still illuminate after reset and/or will another light pop up to inform of an actual issue...just to be safe
