hi it is a question concerning the problem I have,

I think I have a under performing alternator, the Battery is new so think it is most likely the alternator.

the alternator has two pulley wheels but only one belt ,should it have two belts?I have tightened the one belt as it has slipped in wet conditions

If anybody knows of a good site to buy refurbed units and new belts it would be welcomed

I'd start with getting a part number ...if you haven't done that already.

Sites like toyoDIY or Megazip can help you there if you put in your frame (Vin) number....dunno about refurbed ones...but an auto-electrician might be able to advise you better.?..would a Hiace one fit.?

For a new one you could always go direct to the Denso site and know you are sure of the quality.

Basically the Granvia and the Hiace Powervan (sold in Europe between 1995-2012) share the same body, etc.

As my previous post...just get your vehicle frame number and use the sites I suggested..you'll be able to identify the part and get the part numbers.

I'd be inclined to think the Hiace would use the same part...good luck

Look at the plate or sticker on the alternator it will have a part number on it, you then need to cross ref the number

If you pm me your vin I will look it up in the parts cat (EPC)

Did you get your alternator yet. The best seller of second-hand Granvia parts is BBC Spares  bbcsparesco@hotmail.co.uk   I have bought numerous parts from this guy and he is happy to box and deliver via courier.
