Corrolla E12 Fuel Consumption

I Have a 2002 6 speed  manual  corrolla the car vigorously vibrates and the fuel doesn't last a day in the car I drive at speed limits  but have noticed that  the cars revs are above 2,000rpm  in all the gears except  5th and 6th gear

Any ideas as to what the problem could be

You need to provide  more detail as its rather vague.

What mpg are you returning, eg you fill the tank right up, run it for a few hundered miles then fll up again and calculate the actual mpg.

The vibration, though the whole car or the steering wheel ?   Speed related or Rev related.  What was it like before you changed the gearbox ?

The revs above 2000rpm sounds strange?  what happens in neutral, does it drop to 600-700 rpm ?
