Hello everyone and happy new year! So 2 days ago as i was driving on the highway every so often i would hear a squeaking sound, but i couldn't tell what was causing it. At first i thought it was my shoes because it had been raining all day so maybe they were making that noise. Yesterday however i realised that when i was turning the steering wheel about 10-20 degrees to the right it would make that squeaky sound, it feels like it's a plastic to plastic contact or something but i don't know. Has anyone else experienced this? I have done only 5.500 km so far, i will call my dealer tomorrow and see what can be done.

Anyways i wish everyone the best and may the new year bring you everything you wish for!

Hi King Crimson. Has this been fixed? I've asked my dealer to fix it, they said they put some lubricant there, but clicking still persists

I didn't do anything, it pretty much fixed itself. It only happend in really cold weather (about 0 celcius) at night and it only happend for 3-4 night, are you maybe in a colder climate? I remember seeing a prius forum that was based in the US and the newer prii had that same squeaky noise during cold weather but i don't think a lubricant can actually fix it.

Hello all.

I don't want to start a new topic, so I'll write here.

I am having the same issue on my car, also in (now) colder weather. Did anyone else notice this "squealing" sound? Are there any solutions besides waiting for a self-fix?

BR, K
