I reckon it's a one off custom job. You can get model kits of home mades in USA so why not Japan. (same principal as those geeks in the 80's/90's putting cossie whale tails on Beetles! )

I read somewhere there is a current connection between BMW and Toyota. Apparently the variable valve timing that BMW use was developed by Toyota
