Aux input for 2009 Auris?

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a 2009 Auris 1.3 manual that's it's great shape and with low miles. I need an aux in, though, and I'd like to avoid spending hundreds on a new stereo.

From what I've found online, it looks like this cable will work on a 2009 Auris?

https://no.grandado.com/products/3-5mm-aux-in-input-audio-radio-mannlig-grensesnittkabel-adapter-for-mp3-til-toyota-camry-rav4-for-corolla-4-runner-highlander-yaris?variant=17227878367289&currency=NOK&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8beyv7OD5wIV1qSaCh03LgTmEAQYAiABEgKc0_D_BwE

My question is just about running the cable out from behind the stereo. Does anyone have any recommendations on where/how to do this? Is it difficult? Can someone confirm that this cable will actually work with a 2009 Auris stereo?

If anyone has a better suggestion, please let me know. It'd be nice to have DAB and USB, too, but I don't want to get and try to install a whole new stereo head.

Thank you!

There are multiple adapters, especially on alixpress. The basic aux cable / usb one cost around 20 euros, i think they have with a bluetooth option that's maybe double the price.

People report that is mostly works fine. To install the cable is pretty simple, you just need to remove the glovebox, and you can plug the cable to the radio from there.

The plug is on the side closer to the passenger in a left hand drive car, which i presume you have.

But since playing music drains the phone, usually you have to also charge it, so for that money, i personally would buy a bluetooth adapter with charging sockets.

I got one that has charging, quick charging and usb c and it's a tiny one, so i just hook up the charging cable to it on long trips, and you can play the music either via usb charging cable, or bluetooth, for more or less the same money as the adapter you linked.
