Are Prius Gen4s targetted by cat thieves too? 🤔

That may be an import, Wayne. Ok if you looking for an import. It’s not a standard uk colour, it has headlight washers, which I haven’t seen on uk models. That’s just what I noticed from the photo. Apart from that it is a low price fro a Gen4.

I think so too!

Most of the low price Prius4 does state IMPORT

That one did not, the crafty git! 😡

Just found it on Autotrader, it actually says import, and 50 photos. Looks like he has more then a few Gen4 in his compound. It is a nice colour, suits the gen4 shape. The info centre is different, it’s in English, and has more apps then uk version, may be interesting. 15” wheels too, that was my choice, comfier ride on the ridiculously rough UK roads. Has at least two different makes of tyres, and with only 16,000+ miles I wonder why? I put two new fronts on at about 25k miles.

Gen4 is a really nice car to drive.

Ah

Wasn't this one that doesn't say IMPORT

It was this one...

Not sure whether Toyota GB would cover imports via their extended warranty or the hybrid Battery extended warranty thst is provided by a hybrid electric service, as they won't have any history as regards servicing, etc.

It's ok, I NOT considering IMPORTS as insurance would be another issue for me 😔

The one I picked up on was in Bradford, think yours may have been East London, Romford. Anyone, you not after import, so they are dead ducks.

Ok

I hold my hand out....my idea budget is £10k

But, willing to stretch to £12k if really NEW car or has all the TOYS (or the :devil2: in me and its a really nice VW Golf GTE :driving:, then possibly £13k)

But, it's still the YARIS for me as:

1. WHICH? says still MOST reliable

2. Cheaper to maintain/insure/commute/keep for a decade

3. Newer (oldest 3 years, prefacelift 4 years)

Tempted GTE for the :driving:

1. WHICH? not very reliable

2. HONESTJOHN few problems

3. 6 speed wet 'triple' clutch seem reliable

4. But, extra 120kg Battery plug-in I cannot charge at home (work ok) 😳

5. Also, at £13k and 100k miles, out of car warranty AND Battery warranty (8 years or 100k) 😱

PRIUS gen4 (love it or hate it 😍😞

1. Reliable, comfy, refine, but £13k for basic ACTIVE (no SatNav 😞 )

2. Again 100k, no car warranty but but Battery good for another 5 years warranty

3. MAIN CONCERN, is the 'cat' EASY to nick??? 🤔

this one UK spec 🙂

its mainly gen2 and 3 that are targets but the gen 4's still get targeted

2/3 threads on this subject what do you really want and what colour ?

A yaris will last and has 5 years dealer warranty and 10 years on the HSD as long as you continue the dealer health checks vs a golf with 100K miles, zero warranty. a dsg gearbox that likely will be needing a rebuild in the next 50-60K miles if not before and an unknown Battery pack
