Cool Bit Of Free Software I've Started Using

Popped into the place i used to work today to see all my old mates.

Guy showed me this program called XDCC Catcher which is a nice little tool which looks at servers which run on the IRC system and polls for downloads available.

Its very cool because i used to download stuff using mirc32 but finding the stuff and then downloading it was a lengthy process compared to this.

Its more a super version of Kazaa if you like and great for getting mp3's/movies and (not that i know what this is of course because im too pure ) PORN :D

i used to use kazaa but my comp went funny and someone deleted it! i've now got the xdcc catcher but how do you search for 'files'? with kazaa it was very easy, this isnt! i'm not too hot on computers by the way, but i'm getting there!

run

allow software to bypass the firewall

click tools > served lite

allow software to bypass the firewall

choose a network for the combo box

click get all channels

wait, wait and wait

file>search

etc

i've now got lots of networks etc, i've also found some 'things' i'd like to download but once you've found what you want to download how do you download them?

i've tried clicking on them or pasting their name here and there but nothing happens

something like, right click, all to loacl queue, then you will fing the file under

C:\program files\XDCC Catcher\downloads

fimmo there is a PDF with the instruction, I havent read it so I dont know if its any good

emule is loads better, but can be a bit dodgy, im new to XDCC, and hate it already, Im gonna try the pro version
