What is the nature of your central locking problem? This will help narrow down searches for a solution.

When you press the open button, only the boot opens and alarm disables, all other doors remain locked. We have had it to the Toyota garage and they did not fix it but said they had and we got charged it lased a couple of days. We took it back in the end we got fed up of going back there for nothing. Went to a different garage he tested the electrics said all was okay. The car is in very good condition been looked after had regular service, no MOT fails mileage only 87,000 and we do love the car if only we get the doors to open for us, it's can be very cold standing waiting to get into the car, driver unlocks with key has to get into car then unlock doors manually. Thank you for your interest.

Since the 'experts' have tried to fix the central locking, there is not much I can say. I have more experience with the Mk1. Do you have both keys for the car?
I assume you tried the command button on the drivers door. That would lock and unlock the doors. I that is not working, I would check the connections within the drivers door. Then also suspect a broken wire. Everything I mentioned is narrowing it down to the central locking system.
What is needed is somebody with the wiring diagram for your car.

Thank you for your help. We had the electrics checked nothing amiss was found. Yes we have both keys and the valet key, it does not matter which one is used.  Yes tried the command buttons on the drivers door they do not help either.  Once again thank you.
