Differential bearing

Has anyone replaced a differential bearing in a 2007 Yaris (1.5L, Canadian model)? I've searched, but haven't found anything online.

After looking at several diagrams, I have my answer. I was hoping it might be a bearing that could be replaced without splitting the transmission, but it isn't. It has 400,000 km on it, so I think I'll just replace the whole transmission.

swap the box if the diff bearing is shot you can bet the rest is very worn

That's what I was thinking too. I found one locally. I wonder if it's a simple swap or if there is any reprogramming that will need to be done?

CVT ? it should be a straight swap, you will have the Battery removed/disconnected anyway so the ECU (PCM) and TCM with do a relearn anyway

Has anyone here ever replaced the transmission in in one of these? I can't find anything online, only people replacing manual transmissions. Are there any tricks I should know about?
