Toyota Corolla salooon hybdrid 2020 ACC fail sometimes

I got a corolla saloon hybdrid 1.8   IconTech 2020  and i would like to know if  the adaptive cruise control is making trouble  for all or just for me.

The ACC works fine on motorway when all cars are running ,but on city when a car is stopped at a traffic light the system cannot detect it unless we stopped together at the light but never  when it was a gap between us and then the car in front of me stopped,or i take a curbe and the cars in front of me are stopped 
Happened loads of time to trust the ACC in town and  the system wasn’t able to detect the car in front and stop and i was nearly to crush.

another issue discovered is that the adaptive cruise control cannot be activated(it happens rare )  it does say “radar cruise active” but the speed cannot be  set up,the issue is resolved when i stop and start the car .
