Would the 2zz engine be able to cope with a small 50 shot of nos been looking into the wizards of nos kits and debating whether the occasional use of it on tracks would blow my engine up or if it would be ok longs the nos cut out before it was banging on the limiter? Anyone on here has a nos setups on any 2zz engine?

Cars low miles 90k fsh engines all in good shape

Most likely blow the engine tbh, not sure if anyone has run Nos on a 2ZZ. Not sure if the compression ratio of 11.5:1 would be the issue or not.

Its like why a supercharger is more suited to these engines and not a Turbo unless you put in lower compression pistons.

A 10-20 wet shot will be the limit and likely melt the rings/pistons in short order unless you build the block with low compression pistons/rings, uprated rods and oil pump and do the needed head work that's without the work to the rest of the car, imho if you want to make it faster sort the suspension and uprate the brakes

Lotus owners know these engines and their limits

It depends on how much money you're going to throw at it

Yamaha tuned this engine well. I wouldn't risk it for the boost when its already a beast
