at last i managed to fit the chromed indicator bulbs to our mk2 facelift

i found there where 2 lugs on the new  bulbs that where too wide so i

had to use a diamond file to reduce the width of the glass lug.

here is a before and after pictures.

Looks good. I've been meaning to do this. Can you recall what bulb size they are front and rear? Different websites seem to give different answers!

Although I've got the LED headlights, not sure if they're different. 🤔

Excel still has the incandescent indicator and stop light bulbs, all 12V.

Side: WY5W (501) Amber – I got Osram

Front (in the headlight): WY21W (582) amber - I got Lumro, this by far are most expensive

Rear: PY21W (380/581) 21W Orange – I got Osram Ultra Life

Stop light: P21W (382) clear, single filament.

thanks for that andy

maybe thats why i had issues fitting them originally

i originally bought the bulbs for my lexus when i changed my car the new car

has full exterior led lights, we then changed the auris for a newer one

and thought the bulbs looked the same but struggled to fit them

maybe this is the difference between the T20 and the WY21W

even though they look identical on first inspection.

Hi Mark
T20 is the same fitting as 582, 585, 7440 and WY21W
I learned a while back that different manufacturers use different classifications for the same bulbs.
And for some reason Toyota does not use the standard bulb markings in their car manuals.
I found that easiest way to search was to use this format: WY21W
In your case, you got the correct bulb, but looks like it was made slightly wider.
