Headlight leveling motor Toyota Avensis T25 problem

I'm having a problem with my headlight leveling motor on a 2006 Toyota Avensis T25.
Unable to navigate the left headlight which remain fixed at a particular position. No motor movement.
The right headlight works perfect. You can hear it when it activates.
Anyone knows how to replace the leveling motor? Is there a need to remove the whole headlight?

Hello. This is code for leveling motor - 8566122020. But I think you need to verify sensors from below the car. They are positioned in front and back on the arms.

hi there

i am having the same issue. headlamps not doing their little test movement anymore when starting the engine.

i was reading for the last couple of days a few diagrams but can't pinpoint the location of the sensors (t25 2.2 d4d 2005 european)

anyone knows how to: find them, test them and also if i could somehow test the headlamp motors by any chance to see if those are bad too?

i have the xenon automatic levelling headlights

thanks for your time

If you have the part number, you can go to https://www.japan-parts.eu/ and check it out there.

It should show you the location on the car and surrounding parts.

10 minutes later i found the parts needed

now, before i go ahead and buy them, is there a way for me to check if those are bad or either the headlamp motor?

thanks a lot

If both headlamps stopped moving at the same time then it is likely to be the sensor.
