Hi all,

Long time, no post....

If I wanted to swap my front seats out for a 3rd party brand, I have a stock 2010 IQ1, and was looking at what the costs would be for x2 genuine leather seats that I could maybe swap from another brand or make etc....

Do the IQ’s have a ‘unique’ base plate measurement or can I simply look at anything and for an adapter or something....

Obviously dependant on headroom clearance etc, not too bothered about heating elements, looking at just the seats....

Full leather will be pricey £150-400 each used then any rails/hardware to fit them on top, iirc the IQ had the Kobe leather seat option

Be thoughtful about the airbags.  The IQ appears to have airbags in the passenger seat and there are others that inflate from the B Post.  There are other airbags in the rear that appear to inflate around the headrests, but I assume you are really only going for the front seats.  If you attempt to fit seats from another model of car you will have to consider how the seats dimensions might interfere with the safe operation of airbags when you really need them!  Have a look around and see if you can find some original leather IQ seats from a breakers.  There are sadly quite a number of IQ listed by breakers on fleabay and there appears to be a white vehicle with leather.  However, if the car was in an accident has the integral airbag activated or has the seat been damaged? Don't compromise with your safety. Talk to an auto trimmer and see what it would cost to recover your original seats.

My IQ has the OEM leather seats and they are the biz, so worth going after if possible. Best of luck.
