All those things you told me to do, i did, because i took that photo while replacing the radiator, so i had to disconnect those, etc.

I am asking, how i can improve the air in, with some racing filter perhaps.

Your engine will only suck in as much air as it needs, you want it to suck in colder air as this is more dense than warm air so in effect it is sucking 'more air' actually its sucking more 'oxygen' but that's neither here nor there.

you can make the engine run leaner, this means it doesn't suck more air you 're just adding less fuel to the air thats there, the only real way to suck more air is to increase engine capacity.

what you want is to allow the engine to breathe with less restriction, so add a good 'free flow' filter like K&N, Blitz TRD etc etc but you wont really benefit until you have an exhaust to match the filter.

Yeah, i was told about that, and how do i find a matching exhaust?

Also i might be converting to a 2E-E (either by a whole 2nd engine, or from a 2nd hand one, buy the required parts).

a properly sized exhaust will allow the gasses to flow freely but not stay to warm or get too cold to quickly meaning the gas will flow at its optimum rate.

I can only comment on 4age's as thats where my experience lies, for example

The best size exhaust for a 4 age is 48mm which is just under 2" so a bugger to come by in exhaust places, if you add a 'performance' filter you allow the air intake to be less restricted so the amount of time the inlet is open it will effectively suck more air (because it thinks its sucking through the old restricted filter so you have a greater chance of filling the inlet completely full, this then means that the exhaust will need to be able to expell the maximum amount of air your inlet can hold, on a 4age with a good filter you dont get any adverse affects running a 2" pipe (according to the dyno) which is good as most places stock 2" pipe :)

the same principles can be applied to all normally aspirated combustion engines, you just need to work out which combination is best which means a choice of exhausts (not back boxes !!) and dyno time.
