Hello.

I own a 1.4 d4d and i am very satisfied with my machine.

I would love to install Cruise control on it.

Today i installed the stalk and reassembled everything including the two connections on the plug behind/bellow the steering wheel. One of them to the ground the other to the ECU 40th Pin. Everything perfect till i get the 40th pin...wow..occupied already.

And now?

All Toyotas i did the job the 40th pin is for the Cruise control, just my little IQ is not the correct one.

Does anyone can help me?

My ECU is Bosch 0281015509 or Toyota 89661-74020.

thank you...

The diesel IQ was never exported to the UK. As the majority of our members reside in the UK, responses will be limited.

Since your IQ age and engine is not in your profile, this is just a guess.

I remember on Auris CC topic, it was not possible to retrofit cruise control to a specific 1.4 diesel engine. I think that also might be your case, because i remember some mentions about Bosch ECU also.

You should check out that topic, maybe you will find some answers there.

As said before, this is mostly UK forum, and no diesel IQ's are sold in UK, so don't expect someone to give you straight out answer about retrofitting.

I told you the info is in the Auris forum, it's the same engine...

I did a quick search and found the info below.

Sorry pal, the CC (factory CC) is available for 1ZR-FE, 2ZR-FE, 1AD-FTV, 2AD-FHV engines only...

Apparently 1ND-FTV, which is your engine, does not support CC out of the box, that is, no plug and play.

Maybe the found a way further down in the topic, if you are interested, check

Hello Bruno,

maybe you should try the German  IQ club as they’ve got plenty 1.4 models there (the biggest market I‘ve read here)

http://www.iq-board.de/ with google translate it should help 😉

for sure I would love the  cruise control on mine Too
keep us informed of your findings please

Take care

@bmartins do you know what pin 40 is supposed to be? If it's the speed pulse you might be able to determine which pin that's on using an oscilloscope.
