2001 Estima brake light issues.

Hi everyone, 

I am having an issue with the brake lights on our 2001 Estima Aeras ACR30. 

Not all the brake lights are coming on when the brake pedal is pressed, the extreme left brake light and the spoiler brake light come on, but not the two in the tail gate nor the brake light on the drivers side. 

All the tail lights work when the headlights are turned on - ( the LH, two in the tail gate and the RH) - but not the brake on the three bulbs mentioned above. 

I have checked / replaced the various stop light and tail light fuses and everything seems to be in working order. 
While I was crawling around under the dash pulling panels off etc, I checked all the plugs and wiring looms and made sure nothing was loose anywhere. 

So it leaves me wondering - do I have a faulty brake light switch on the pedal, only powering one side of the car?
Or perhaps there is a loom plug loose somewhere?

Is it possible that three bulbs have faulty brake light filiments?(I have not swapped the working one to the other side to check yet...)

Any thoughts / advice greatly appreciated.

Can't recall if they are served by separate fuses.?..IIRC the fuse panel you might want to check is behind the side trim in the passenger footwell. (they are mini-fuses)..there's another fuse box behind the driver's side footwell trim panel btw...but I think it's the passenger side one in this case.

If you've done that then I guess you might need an auto-electrician.,

The brake lights are a simple circuit,

you simply need to change the bulb on the right hand side and the 2 in the middle may just be rear fog and reverse

Edit. The brake/tail is a twin filament bulb

Just checked mine again....the outers are brake lights and the inners (tailgate) are additional sidelights only..the models vary so much.

Just looked up the acr30 there are 2 types of rear lights outers are indicators only with the tail brake and reverse on the tailgate or brake/tail and indicators on the outers and the rest on the tailgate
