P1229 code

Hi we have a 2005 D 4D RAV4 and we have a problem whereas every single time about 1 mile into the journey the car goes into a sort of limp mode once it’s done it once there seems to be no problem the code P1229 came up on code reader we have changed the fuel filter and the scv’s have also been changed....any help would be great !!

It's a common fault, It is common rail over pressure and it to do with the suction valve. The valve should read 1.8-2.4 ohm with a multimeter it may be getting stuck so give it a tap with a back of a screwdriver, next step is to verify the wiring to the ecu

did you replace both valves are they oem or denso items (if its a dual valve system)

Both have been replaced prior to us buying but don’t know what make...high pressure sensor on the common rail hasn’t been replaced??
