T27 Centre vents - no air flow

In January I posted a query on how to remove the centre vent console as the top vent adjusting wheel was stuck in the closed position. Following advice from this forum, I removed the console and sorted the problem, making sure that the vents opened and closed when the adjusting wheels were turned. Haven't used car much due to this bl**dy* virus, but recently went to a supermarket and turned on the aircon and set it for blowing through the left and right vents on the centre console. Nothing came through, so turned the blower up to full and still nothing came out. The adjuster wheels turn and the vents opened and closed but no air coming through. Could this be a mechanical or electrical problem? Thanks.

*Mod edit - please don't try to get around the swear filter as it is against forum rules.

You car try the self diagnostics for the HVAC. I have tested it on my car, and it works.

When I turn off the car, sometimes I hear a whirring sound as the internal vent flaps reset themselves. Go through all the heater settings including re-circulation.

First of all, sorry for the asterisked swear word.

Perhaps I should have initially said that the AC is working fine, as the blower sends air, hot and feezing, through the windscreen vent and also the side vents near the doors. It's just the left, right and top centre vents that don't seem to be allowing air to pass through, even though the vent flaps are physically open.

The test includes checking the mix flaps within the system are working, not just the AC.

Ok, right, I shall give it a try. My centre console layout is not the same as in the diagnosis instructions, but I assume that does not matter as long as the buttons are the same.

Thanks.
