Car does not start sometimes

Hi could anyone please help me.

Really confused

I currently have a 57plate Yaris automatic.

I been recently having issues with it. The car sometimes does not start when this happens a beeping sound comes on and in the dash board a flashing "1" appears in the gear selection area and also a red clog with an exclamation mark appears. Radio and lights are working.

If I turn the car off and try again the car will start up with no warning lights and no issues. A new clutch has been put in and a brand new Battery also installed

Does any one have any ideas what it could be please.

It sounds as if the car thinks it is in gear and the inhibitor switch is staying activated to stop starting in gear? I did not think this model Avensis had a clutch, rather being a traditional torque convertor box. I am sure the experts on here will be along to clarify this and identify the problem.
