Yaris TS rear brake noise

Hi everyone, 

 

I'm a new member to this forum and have just purchased my first Yaris TS last weekend. On driving it back we noticed a noise coming from the rear brake, is this a common issue for the TS? Does anyone know what this could be?

Model year is 2001 PH1, mileage is 140k, any help would be much appreciated!

What sort of sound ? What condition are the pads and disc's in ? Surely you would have heard it during a test drive ?

A sort of clunking sound, the pads and discs are in good cond but it sounds like they're moving. 

 

The car was sorn off so we couldn't take it out of the parking lot sadly.

it could be any number of things, jack it up and get the wheels off, it may just be from where it's been sitting
