Induction Kit Question

I have a mk2 1993 N/A G-Limited. I just want to know whether or not my air filter has an airflow meter. Had a quick look and it seems to have some kind of switch with wires attached. I want to buy a K&N induction kit so need to know. Thanks.

It should be a revision2 so it will have an AFM, you need to gt a kit designed for the earlier cars.... we sell them if your interested.

Matt.

I didn't think any of the mk2's had them, is there any way of telling from looking at my airbox?

That little plug with a wire coming from it IS the air flow meter.

I need to check the same thing when buying my K&N induction kit.

on normally aspirated cars the plug that goes in your induction kit is an air temp sensor nothing to do with AFM, don't think n/a cars have an afm only rev1 &2 turbos

I fort the sensoer which bolts to the underside of the engine cover was the air temp sensor? Or is that a different sensor to turn the fan on?? Ne1 been pulled by the rozzers for having a noisy exhaust?

Please, can anyone tell me if this Induction kit will fit my N/A Rev2 import? From what people say on here mine doesn't have an AFM but does have a temp sensor. Thanks.

hrm that doesnt include any hoses does it?

basically the temp sensor fits into the side of the hose that connects the filter to the engine.

so it should be okay as long as you get make a hole in the hosing that u'll need to get, for the sensor.

My main concern is the small plug that comes out of my current airbox, I don't know whether that would fit this induction kit.

Yeak that bit that comes out of the original air filter/box is what goes ino the hole on the K&N, you can get the K&N WITH the hole, or if it doesnt have one you can drill the hole yourself.

Either way I think youd need to hook that wire up to the K&N.
