Hallo all,

Wonder if anyone can help me out some, got another baby on the way, so we got a new car seat/cradle for the new little one when he gets here, but here lies the problem.

I have an Estima Lucida(8 seat) and I want to use the baby seat in the back on the back row, as I have middle row facing backwards, but the seat belt is someway short of being long enough, to mount babyseat properly and therefore securely.

Thought I might be able to get some sort of extension for the belt, so I tried Halfords, they don't have or know of anything that would help.

Gonna try a Toyota dealer after work tomorrow, thinking maybe the seatbelt from a UK Previa would bolt in? Anyone come across this problem? and maybe could offer a solution?

Not had the car long, and really don't want to have to change it because I can't get the babyseat in properly

Watcha,

I would imagine your best bet would be to get another belt from either a breakers or eBay (couple of Previas on ther being broken).

Cheers

Thanks.

Have spoken to my local Toyota dealers, who believe that the rear seatbelts in both Estimas and Previas, are the same size, so I'm still none the wiser atm  heh.

Gonna try and get to Britax HQ, as they say on their webby that the have a seat that will fit, though it is a close thing with the seatbelt lengths, the seat we have here is a Mamas and Papas one.

For sale; Mamas and Papas baby car seat, from newborn, won't fit Estimas/Previas :P

We have a mama's and Papa's three in one pushchair thingy where the car seat clips off the pram and into the car.

In a "teaching my granny to suck eggs way" have you tried dropping the back of the rear seat right down. Strapping in the baby chair, then raising the back of the seat up again as far as it will go. - About half way in my experience?

(Apologies if this is the first thing you tried.)

Thanks Ed.

Didn't think of that before, to be honest I can't envision it sat in front of PC, but will certainly try tomorrow when I get home from work. Ours is a seat from the pushchair travel system too, so fingers crossed :)
