So the engines have a black box to tell the garrage what you have been doing in your car. Isnt that a breach of the data protection act or do you sign sumthing in small print when you sign the warrenty?

If this is the case would it not be possible for the police to use the black box to convict you of a crime eg speeding?

no its just a fault code logger. and keeps a record of what the sensors have been reading. so the laptop is plugged in and the service guys can look through and determine what has caused the problem.

i dont know why every one got so stressed, i only posted the message to say if any one experienced it, or wether it was jus a fault on my car. cos i have only had my car a 2 months and the gear box need sorting as it wont go into 4th or reverse. so i was seein if it was another fault that needs sorting? I do not take my car over the limmiter it has happed twice once by accident and the other through curiosity.

all i can say to that is b :censor: cks

big hairy b :censor: cks

you should be able to feel it through the pedals etc and if you cant hear it and dont have a rev counter dont have it to loud, dont ya care bout your car????

also dont you have a rev counter or watch the speedo???

So in effect loosing your hearing is more important than keeping a working engine?

Dude, leave'em be... you cannae change the world. Walked into the Emap office this morning to find all the 50yrs+ receptionists wearing rude Max Power T-shirts proclaiming "I love the new look Max Power" (which is incidentally concentrating more on Brit stuff like Corsas and Saxos)

Alas!

1 MPH more than me, most be the Blitz and Apexi, isnt it stange how the car stops accelerating, it feels as if the car has hit something and it is dragging it along

when I did this for the first time(not done it for ages), I downshifted to undertake someone, 2nd time was to check what the limit was

Like you though, I wish they would just go get a Corsa.

  • 1 month later...

Guys, thats just full on abuse of a car. Ive never hit the rev limiter in any of the cars Ive ever owned and people who do intentionally are ar :censor: holes.

The maximum power of your engine is reached a long way before the redline so whats the point in taking it up that far?

Good luck on the 'if I break it, Toyota will give me a new one' theory! All I can say is good luck! :!Removed!: <_<
