I was just reading my handbook. It mentions, to check AC filter you have to remove the glovebox. But on checking there is no damper that it mentions. I have a feeling on mine you need not remove the glovebox. The filter housing is atop the glovebox. Is this so ? Is it possible to just slide this out without removing the complete glovebox ??

Thanks

it's behind the glove box, the glove box unclips and swings down or lifts out its at most a 5 min job

Hi thanks flash.

Yes I think you just press the sides of the glovebox for it to come out. Will have a go in the morning.

it's the same procedure on most Toyota's. Unclip/unscrew the damper on the side - push the glove box to one side to unhook the clips

heres a vid on an auris (same principle)

Thanks. I looked at mine this morning. Glad I did, it was black and full of rubbish.

I have ordered a new one.
