Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if I am posting in the wrong place.

I am wondering if Toyota do an Auris (2015 onwards) in a diesel with automatic transmission. I've trawled the the interwebs and found nothing whatsoever.

Does this mythical creature exist???

Thank you in advanced

As far as I'm aware the only automatics on offer were the 1.2T CVT petrol and the 1.8 Hybrid e-CVT.

Diesels were the 1.4D4D (Toyota engine) and the 1.6D4D (BMW N47 engine), both with six speed manual gearboxes.

Both diesels were dropped in December 2017, leaving just the 1.2T petrol and the 1.8 hybrid.

Hi, if you are  looking at Toyota cars the HybridS are the real strength of all Toyota cars and petrols are also good powertrains, diesel only their own 1.4d but it is a manual only.

Try the hybrid, it offers similar economy to diesels for mixed driving and they're all automatic. Case for hybrid is less clear cut for long distance motorway work - the hybrid will return low 50s mpg in my experience, where my old Skoda did high 50s and had more overtaking torque.
