Vsc light

I have a 57 plate avensis petrol. Only 65000 miles.  A few weeks ago it started losing power and stopping. Engine management light and Vsc light was on. I took it to my local garage. Coil packs they said £250. A week or so later same thing. Took it back. Auto electrician said elec fault. No charge this time. Short time later same thing. Back to garage. We dont know they said. Take it to Toyota. Toyota said Coil packs £350. Dont think so said I oh yes it is said they. One week later stopped again. Breakdown into Toyota where it now sits. Any ideas?

As far as I know the fault codes indicated coil packs on two occasions on both occasions coil packs were changed. I believe no other fault codes show.
