Hks Ssqv Dump Valve

Could someone give me alittle advice. I have a 93 Toyota Supra TT and I currently have a recirculating dump valve fitted. I'm looking at fitting a HKS SSQV dump valve but I have a couple of questions (some might be obvious, but unfortunately not to me....)

1. As I have a TT will I need to fit one dump valve for each turbo?

2. Will I need to get the ECU re-mapped as I will not be having a recirculating dump valve?

3. How easy is it to fit the HKS SSQV dump valve? And has anyone got any guidelines?

Thanks in advance

Simon

Hi Simon,

1 No you only need one dump valve for both turbos

2 You don't need to remap the ECU

3 I believe they are quite easy to fit.

Thanks for the help Emma, much appreshiated.

I did think that was the case, with only one dump valve being needed, but still wanted to be sure. Would of had the hump if I brought one (especially at the price) and then needed another.

Also that has gotta be a typo in your user info that you have two supra TT...... what are you made of money???

Thanks

Simon

Ah yes I remember why I had two MKIV's in my details

I did purchase another UK MKIV which was badly damaged, the original intention was to have it repaired but decided in the end to scrap it.

So yes at one time I did have two UK MKIV Supras!! lol

Four cars, now some would say that was greedy, what have you got 3 husbands or something....... :P

And not to mention that you were gonna have that repaired !!!! Now that would have been a huge restore project, I'm sure it would had been a laugh though.

Nice paint job, did look into getting mine resprayed but I got a quote of about £3000 and figured the money could go on better things, engine wise. Yours does look sweet as though.

No husband(s) but one very car mad boyfriend! :)

The car had a lot more bits on it before we scrapped it, interior etc, that picture is after we took most of the parts out of it. There really was too much work involved in putting it back on the road, which is a real shame as pre accident the car was in very good condition. But a bent roof meant it had to go.

Yes I am very pleased with the paintjob on the other one, it cost around £3,800 including paint. Just waiting for toyota side skirts to turn up and they will be painted together with the wings west front lip for the car.

I must apologise Simon I seemed to have highjacked your thread!!!
