It appears that these cars come with an immobiliser but no alarm system present. Just wondering if anyone knows a way to add on a Toyota alarm so that it works with the normal central locking system; i.e. can be armed/disarmed with the remote and/or door locks. Is there a connector present somewhere to connect a standard Toyota module to?

There are many alarms that offer this feature. Search alarm with CAN or CANBUS.
