2016 Aygo fuel filter housing?

Good day all. 

My wife has got the 2016 Aygo 1.0 which is due for its 75000km service. 

Now my question is, what is a fuel filter housing and why is it so damn expensive? 

On the service quote it shows the part alone costs about R3 200. 

It's the first time I've heard of this and don't even know what it looks like. 

Does it need to be replaced? Some say yes, others say no and I have no clue. 

Any advice or clarity will be much appreciated.

Only filter I can think of would be for the diesel only, unless they mean the oil filter housing
