Good point FB's, but who really wants the hassle of debating whats what. Keep to a recommended service plan at least through warranty period. Of course, if you own the vehicle you can take the attitude "I can do what I want", but I dont think thats a clever attitude.

wow that's extreme, luckily from my parents, I always knew a car needed an oil change every year.

If the OP plans on running the car forever then to he honest a service history won't matter.  There are 's many cars out there 10+ years old and you'd probably be pushed to find one with a complete history. Even when they say complete history and I know this doesn't apply to aygos ) some cars have never had camber changes.  So history isn't complete.
