Does anyone know where I can get a front strut bar for my seo?

Posted

Eibach offer an anti roll bar thingy, but for struts, MOMO's universal could do the job... otherwise, i guess u gotta look state side...

Do Honda stud patterns fit for the wheels?

Quite likely, Toyota four stud wheels are interchangeable between most models and on my Sera the TSWs I've got were previously on a Honda Civic. :)

Dymchurch! Thats a bit close to me!! :D Surprised I haven't seen you about, I'm in Margate but I work in Dover.

My speedo does the same thing, think its just a design flaw.

As for wheels, the bolt pattern is 4X100 which I believe is the same as the Hondas. Most four-stud Toyota alloys will fit, mine are from a Yaris. Theres a good place in Canterbury which sells second hand wheels in Fordwich - might be worth a look.

Insurance: Mine's through a broker but they are crap! Try Tesco's as they seem better if you plan to modify.

Is it at a garage or is it the silver one in the auto trader on Sheppey?

I haven't been in the wheel place but they are all second hand so can't be that expensive!

Not sure bout Direct Line, when I was getting quotes though Tesco's said any modifications wouldn't be a problem. :)

Seen the silver one in the trader, '96 Si, 47K, £3,495 (ouch mine was much more!! :( ) as was trying to get my dad to go & look at it!! Is that the car you've bought?

No-where stocks anything for the Paseo!

You will have to phone up & ask but the majority of places won't have heard of it, I've had arguments with people telling me it MUST be an import because they've not seen or heard of it!! You must know that tho if you're mum has one.

Green are the only company who make a Paseo induction kit, unless you want a universal one. Ordered mine from a distributer using my Gold member discount. :P :D

dymchurch:

for 17s that will pop straight on like mine did your lookin at anythin from £550 - £850 depending on quaility and exclusivity (chk sp). Manufacturers like Fox will be the entry level, but check the qulity of the finish. plus they tend to be a bit on the heavy side. mine are Tooras i got imported from Germany. they Cost £800 but thats only cos the guy who owns the store was goin there to get a set of wheels for his beemer and i know him pretty well so he didnt charge me for carriige.

the drop cost me £100 in total - £60 for spring (PI -40mm) and the rest labour.

Tesco dont like modded cars so go with the others. im with CIS they dont really give a **** what you do to the car as long as they can see receipts if/when u need to claim.... and that u write them a letter before hand to say what u've done...

btw... when did the new smilies come on board? me likes

I like the paseo's, id consider getting one in the future..

There was one for sale near me at an importers... convertible soft top. Very very nice.. are these common?

Posted

the soft tops are more commonly found ion the states but not here in the uk. i think most of them are autos though, so if you got a manual box, id say snap it up while you can. they're a rear species...

nice to see some more paseo's joining the site.

ive been to a toyota garage & told them i drive the gen 1 cynos import & spent 15min telling them toyota DO make the car as its parked outside... then spent another 10 min while everyone looks at the car. try'd explaining that its like the paseo & they had never heard of that either. <_<

97paseo's right, nobody stocks paseo parts, athough corolla/starlet parts are fairly similar.

mellow_yellow is your paseo the ltd edition Galliano version? if so a friend of mine is thinking of buying one - asking price is 4999 - also it has an electric sunroof. how the hell does that work??

J

James mine is the Galliano but am afraid to say it doesnt have the electric sunroof... optional extra maybe?

£5k eh, thats ace, i paid around that nearly two years ago, reckon i could get bout the same back again considerin i spent a bit on it..?

btw, my garage has at least acknowledged that the seo exists.... they didnt have a clue how long it was in production for or which parts are common to other toyotas....

and that reminds me, you know the door cards on these things... are they the same shape as the rolla 3dorrs? the generation before the latest, dunno how many there are now. i want to change em over to the stylin of them, i reckon they look smarter.

What type are they and how much?

Posted

ive got a quad side exit exhaust on my sera down the bottom it has harmed performance but it feels a bit more powerful up the topevolution in essex are the guys to talk to.

Mellow - let me know if you find out about the door cards. Do you know if our side repeaters are exactly the same as the ones for the Celica or Carina? I think they are.

J - Have you seen this electric sunroof? As I can't see how it can work? The 2 Gen has a moon roof, if it is electric it must only tilt, theres no-where for it to go otherwise - Having said that I seem to remember the dark Green German car with the Booster kit has a weird roof on the pics?

Remember guys the Seo's might be a nightmare for aftermarket support but they are rare which is always fun! Drove by a guy in a seriously modded up Prelude the other day, the car was sweet but he was more interested in my car than anyone was in his!! :P :D

no m8 i havent seen it yet - my friends thinking about bying it after wrecking his 'seo so maybe i can find out. yeah thats my thought to - theres not enough space for it to slide back so it must just tilt. <_<
