Key fob not working electronically nor manually

Hi wondering if anyone can help here?

I have an Auris Hybrid (2000). Went to open the car today and the electronic key wasn’t working (though red light was flashing on fob). Tried manually and again the door wasn’t opening. The manual key wouldn’t turn. 

any ideas or advice? Would appreciate any help.

A flat 12v Battery, the lock not working is due to the lack of use, spray some lube in the lock (Not WD40) you may also need a pair of pliers to help turn the key (be careful doing this)

What year is your car ? 2009, 2010 ?
