Touring sport boot space

Hi there,

I've tried looking around, but I can't get a definitive answer. Is there more than model or make for the Touring Sport between 2013 and 2019? I'm considering buying one used, but it's coming up with different boot sizes on Auto trader. I've had a look around the web and I can't seem to figure it out.

In some ads on Auto trader and this Toyota blog, https://blog.toyota.co.uk/2015-toyota-auris-touring-sports-review , it's coming up with 672L of space, but in some other instances it's also coming up with 530L. Can someone provide me with some clarity please?

Thanks Frostyballs. I've seen similar stuff. But then I stumbled across websites, e.g. the blog post that I included in my post ,that suggests the space is 672L.  That's what threw me. I'm also new to this, so I wasn't sure. Are they just fudging the numbers?

Cheers,

Geertz

Depends what the measurement relates to. Most sites I've just looked at use the 530 litres figure - and this would be with the rear seats upright with the luggage cover in place. The 1658 litres figure would be the maximum capacity with the rear seats folded down and loaded up to the roof.

I suspect the 672 litres figure would be with the rear seats upright and the luggage cover removed - ie up to roof height.

Bear in mind these are maximum figures, as with any manufacturer figures, and may not represent 'usable' space.

My neighbour has just bought a 2017 tourer (facelift model) and it doesn't have the flat floor that mine has (pre facelift).  Is there an option to retrofit the flat floor?

Thanks Frostyballs. I think I just have to go out and see one in person before I can decide if it's big enough. Also, does anyone know if there is a storage compartment underneath the floor for a spare wheel? In my Honda Jazz Hybrid, the Battery is underneath the floor, so I carry the spare wheel in the boot, which is fairly annoying.

There is. I have a space saver in mine. I'm not sure if it will take a full size one

I've got a Mid 2016 brochure sat on my hard drive, for reasons that escape me. Any, these are the numbers quoted. They're the same for all engines.

I've got a hunch the pre-facelift cars don't have a spare wheel, so likely have a lower boot floor hence the slightly higher figures quoted earlier.

It will.

I have a 17" spare (well, actually in summer it's one off my winter wheels, in winter one of my summer wheels....) in the compartment under the floor.
