Hi, we just got a new Sony Mex-N7300BD stereo fitting by Halfords in to our Aygo, the factory fitted one the aux wasn't working and we wanted DAB radio. So we have gone for almost the cheapest/best deal that they have offered.

Before they started to fit it I got a call to say, did I want the sat Nav taken out or kept in but you may not have sound as the new stereo takes up the connection to the sound system. I said I'd rather keep it in, as long as it works.

Now my fault I should checked before I left, being so tired and had to shoot off, we didn't notice till later on that the sat Nav didn't work. Now granted aswell Halfords should of explained this before I left aswell, the the power connectors, there is a 20pin connection that powers the sat Nav that the new stereo doesn't have. I'm asking if there is a way around this, or an adapter to get the sat Nav powered. The original stereo has like a triple diagram connection.

If anyone could help with this before I start to delve into this without knowing where to start that would be grand. I have spoke over the phone to the Halfords guy that fitted it, and their online live service. And he spoke of getting a diaorgram to power both up. Kind regards

First generation Aygo (2005-2014) or second generation (2014 onwards)?

I believe it's the first generation.

The rounded panel flips up, and the screen is removable to update on a computer.

I have looked into this a bit more, the issue is the audio as the tomtom nav uses a data bus to control the factory stereo to put the audio on top/mute the playing audio

there are a few options but its not going to be plug and play

Thank you for taking your time to look into this flash22. So there is no adapter that I can buy to will power both the new stereo and the sat Nav?

There are 2 cables, one that plugs into the stereo that supplies power to the sat nav module behind the dash and the other is a mini iso that supplies power to the display and audio in the factory stereo

Not sure if the voice guidance audio comes from the display or is played through the stereo, If the audio comes through the factory stereo you will need a module and wired In to make it all work, if it goes through the display it's a case of wiring up the power

Ok, that's easy enough its just a case of wiring the power to it - 3 wires as per the link above pins 8,9,10 on the mini iso 20 pin (note the pinouts are shown as they are on the rear of the radio/wire side of the plug)

Ok, is there anything I need to buy? I'll look at the passenger side, seem to be a panel above the storage compartment.

if it was working before the new stereo it just needs the power wired up to the 20 pin (Mini ISO)
