1999 Yaris not starting

Hi all,

A friend of mine was selling his old Yaris that had sat for 1+ years back to the garage he bought it off for very cheap and so i saw an opportunity to have some fun fixing up a car to get an MOT and selling on. Went round to have a look and i can't get it to start properly. Here's what was happening:

Put a newer charged Battery in.

Pump didn't cycle when turning key to on, did cycle after turning car over for 2 ish seconds and switching back to off (is this fuel return?).

Car ran when the fuel pump assembly plug was removed but only while holding the key to start, let go of the key and it would die (it ran okay, didn't hear a miss).

I didn't do much testing but found a 10v supply to the fuel pump plug on 1 pin when the key was turned (didn't test every pin as this is when the car started and i was very confused).

The car is fitted with an alarm so later thought maybe immobiliser but my fiend said he didn't need to do anything for it to start, just get in turn the key. (fobs Battery was working as had to turn the alarm off a couple times.

Know where i can find a pinout diagram for the fuel pump plug and diagram to where those wire go? also the location of all fuel relays and fuses?

If it starts id take it but at the moment i don't know what i would do with it, very cheap mind!

Thanks for the help!
