Door arm bolts coming loose

Hi,

So I have a 2015 Yaris Sport and have often had issues with various components over the past year and a half. The latest is the arm on the front passenger door, which from my understanding prevents it from swinging wide. When opening and closing is it now doing a loud audible click and when I looked it is the two bolts shown in the image are loose causing this rattling. I have tightened them but they have come loose again so not sure what to do and what is the reason for them loosening in the first place.

Is it possible to remove them one at a time and use some thread lock liquid? Not having seen what's behind, I would assume they either srew into the steel plate or into captive nuts?

They are captive nuts/stamped into the check strap, the reason they are coming loose is the lack of maintenance of the check strap or the check strap is starting to fail, if you dont take care of it will crack and rip out of the door
