Estima diesel fault

Just wondering if anyone can help. My 2.2 diesel estima dies on me randomly mainly at idle. It starts straight back up when I turn the key. Once or twice at the lights it wouldn't stay running. Every time I turned the key it tried to start then died. After half a dozen times it stayed running. I have checked all relays and fuses. Thinking maybe spill valve. This is very intermittent. I can drive for days then have the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated

clean gauze filter inside the fuel tank, take carpet off behind front passenger seat you find four screws take that off underneath you find pipes and wire connected to fuel tank  disconnect and take sensor out see gauze filter clean with petrol or white spirit or kerosene fit in reverse, renew new fuel filter and last fuel stop sensor on pump there is another smal round filter clean it make sure you dont loose spring and magnetic shaft 

reconnect in reverse start engine
