The bulb on my aygo has stopped working. I’ve removed it and it’s a Philips 55w bulb. The only one I can find online is an Osram one but I’d rather fit like for like.

Do I need to go Toyota direct?

Also has anyone used Philips white vision bulbs and do they provide a good upgrade?

It’s an old broken bulb - why no touchy lol.

The aygo is an excellent car, I’ve had an M4, C63, golf GTI’s, Porsche’s and honestly the aygo is really a great daily town car. Stress free so far, nippy, good tech and cool as well.

Wish they made a performance version to rival the UP gti

Mixing the brand should not be an issue however the new bulb will likely be brighter/whighter than the old one opposite, Toyota do offer an upgrade Optiwhite bulb set for cars fitted with HIR2 bulbs part # 90981-YZZDN £46.79 for the pair

Almost 4K is steep though. Upgraded suspension, brakes and tyres would be a must. Easy 6-8k for a comprehensive setup. V cool though

Hey Devon, the upgraded part sounds worthwhile. Have u tried it?

Are the Philips worth the upgrade and do they give a realistic xenon glow?

You could put a small turbo on it

Wrong bulb fitment. You need HIR2 (9012) bulbs.

Just found these on Amazon. Reviews seem good and they’re priced well for a set - anyone used them?

They are 100w so maybe not road legal. Also it would be hotter and the wiring might be an issue. Although years ago I bought a ford which the previous owner fitted 100w bulbs that I was not aware of, no heating issue.
