Nice video! Very watchable, loved your take on the Corolla TS. I have the Excel HB 1.8. A delight to drive. Typically 60%+ of every journey I make is in EV mode as decided by the car, so in the 2 months I've had the car my MPG average is around 64. Quite happy with that!

Which one should I choose for motorway cruising, 1.8 or 2.0 , the fuel efficiency is the most and reliability. I am very relaxed driver and getting 60mpg out of my old Auris. Hope to have few more 000k out of it but just in case I need to renew early.😉👍, thinking of 1.8 , I don’t want to see anything less than 50mpg in winter.

So want you to push that button!!!

If I was buying a corolla or had the money, I should say, I would choose the 1.8 as based on the old hybrid engine so tried and tested. More economical than the 2 litre, although sounds good with more power on tap. In my Auris I don't find the performance of the 1.8 is lacking. Also with new road tax review may increase all hybrid rates?

1.8 i would say. My motorway driving in the 2.0 gets around 58.

The 1.8 if you want economy, I was averaging 70 MPG on my Corolla 1.8

It says you have the 1.8 in your profile?

Yeah, I think would be the 1.8 as there is saloon option too. I would like the fuel consumption of a Prius too, or anything closer. 😉👍
