Hello everyone! Please help me with my oil problem. 5w30 or 0w20? I heard 0w20 is better for skirts protection in engine. My engine is 2zr-fe 1.8 dual vvti 2007. Zsp90. Thanks!!

Toyota specify 0w20 for the 2ZR 1.8 so you are spot on.

13-year-old engine i would go with the 5w20 or 5w30 as the tolerances have opened up a tad by now, and let's be honest a 1.8 manual yaris would have been given some stick in its lifetime

Look here.

I used this for our Yaris and it said it had a 2NZFE engine when it has a 2SZFE engine ( I think).

I've previously checked on that Castrol site and it isn't always correct. 5W30 Magnatec is specified for my engine by them(1NR-FE) when 0W20 is Toyota recommended?

Shell and Valvoline list the same 5w30 or 5w20

2NZFE and 2SZFE are 1.3 2005 is change over year between the mk1 and mk2 so check the years either side of it
